Privacy Policy

What we collect

Information you give us. When you book a call, you provide your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us about your business. If you become a client, we also collect billing details and whatever access we need to do the work.

Information collected automatically. Our website records standard technical data including IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and timestamps. We also run an advertising analytics pixel that records page views and attributes them to advertising campaigns.

Cookies and similar technologies. This site and the third-party tools embedded in it use cookies and similar identifiers to recognise visitors across pages and sessions. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may stop working.

Why we collect it

Service providers

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, solely to operate our business:

• GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc., United States) — our customer relationship, scheduling, and website chat system. Our booking calendar and the chat widget on this site are both provided by GoHighLevel, which means information you enter into either one — including chat messages and any contact details you share there — is collected directly by GoHighLevel rather than by this website.
• Whop (United States) — website analytics, including measuring which ads bring visitors to our site. Whop receives page-view data only. It never receives your name, contact details, mobile number, or messaging consent.
• Lovable and its hosting providers — website hosting and delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing for clients. We never see or store your full card number.
• Email and telecommunications providers — to deliver the messages we send.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where your information goes

Several of the providers above are located in the United States or elsewhere outside Canada, and your personal information is stored and processed there. While outside Canada it may be accessible to that country's courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under that country's laws. By using this site or engaging us, you acknowledge this transfer.

Consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent. Submitting our booking form is consent to be contacted about your enquiry by email or phone call. It is not consent to receive text messages — that requires your separate, explicit agreement, as described under Text messaging below.

Marketing email. We send commercial email only where we have consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every commercial message identifies us, includes our mailing address, and carries a working unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop service messages about active work.

Withdrawing consent generally. You can withdraw consent to our collection and use of your information at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. If you do, we may no longer be able to provide our services to you.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number through the chat on our website and agree to receive messages, you authorize Nickel Web Co. to send you promotional text messages and calls at that number, which may be sent using automated means. These can include information about our website design and automation services, offers, and updates, as well as replies to your enquiry. Agreeing to receive these messages is never a condition of buying anything from us.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. You can also reach us at team@nickelwebco.com or (905) 875-8054.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for at least seven years afterwards to meet Canadian tax and record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete anything we aren't required to keep.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, how we've used it, who we've disclosed it to, and to correct anything inaccurate. We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for a reasonable request, and we may ask you to verify your identity first.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls and reputable service providers. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Links and embedded content

This site links to and embeds content from other services, including our scheduling calendar. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their practices.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and material changes will be posted here.
